Follow the seven-step handwashing method before the injection.

Install the refill

The insulin pen must match the insulin refill. Unscrew the cap and unscrew the refill holder; Piston rod resetting; Load the refill into the refill holder and tighten it.

Install the needle

Use a new needle for each injection.

Exhaust

Dial the dose adjustment knob to 2 units, hold the needle upright, and gently flick the refill holder with your fingers several times. Push down the injection push button and see a drop of insulin spilling out of the needle.

Select the injection site and sterilize

Turn the dose knob to the desired scale as directed. Avoid areas where pain, skin dimpling, subcutaneous fat hyperplasia, skin induration, bleeding, ecchymosis, infection, etc. occur.

Site rotation: Rotate the injection site around the week. Each injection point should be at least 1 cm away from the last injection point. Disinfect the skin with alcohol from the middle to the periphery.

Shake the liquid well

Before using intermediate-acting insulin and premixed insulin, shake the insulin well and roll it upside down and side-to-side 10 times without being too vigorous.

Discard the needle

Twist the needle off and put it on the outer needle cap and place it in the sharps box.
